Community and candidates gather at St. John’s Farmers Market

While elections season is often packed with debates and all-candidate panels, there is not always the opportunity for one-on-one discussions with candidates and for the community to meet them in person. This is one of the reasons why Food First NL and the St. John’s Food Policy council organized an Eat Think Vote at the St. John’s Farmers Market.

With a kiosk in the market on a busy Saturday morning, candidates from all the major political parties dropped in for a meet-and-greet with the marketgoers, farmers, and other vendors. Check out what the local media had to say!
