On September 8, 2021, Thunder Bay & Area Food Strategy launched an Eat Think Vote Social Media campaign where they shared background information and policy recommendations with their community members. This 2021 Eat Think Vote initiative is being organized by Shade of Miti and the Peel Youth Food Circle, who will be conducting interviews with local MP candidates. Questions from Mississauga community members to candidates will be gathered prior to and asked during the interviews, giving members the opportunity to share their food-related concerns with federal candidates.
The interviews will take place on Friday, September 17, 2021 and will be aired on the local radio station in Mississauga as well as posted on Shade of Miti‘s podcast platform.
